Exporting Audio Recordings

Overview
This guide accompanies the Exporting Audio Recordings video. Audio export is available on Pro and Studio plans and turns any safety-audited script into a professional MP3 recording.
1. Requirements before audio export
The audio export panel opens automatically in the script builder once the following conditions are met:
- The script has passed the safety audit (all critical flags resolved)
- Your plan includes audio export (Pro or Studio)
- No audio-blocking contraindications are present in the client profile (for example, certain clinical conditions permanently block audio export for that client — the panel will explain the reason)
If the audio panel shows a gate message rather than the voice selector, check the message — it will tell you exactly what is blocking audio.
2. Audio configuration
When the audio panel is ready, you will see:
Voice selector A dropdown listing available voices grouped by accent (Standard/Neutral, British, American, Australian). Each voice shows its tier (Standard/Pro/Premium) and a brief description. Voices above your current plan tier are shown but locked.
Standard Voices are included on Pro and Studio plans. Premium Voices are included on Studio (5 sessions per month) and available as bolt-on purchases on Pro. Premium voices are noted as using more audio minutes — up to 3× the standard rate — due to the quality of synthesis.
Listen to voice samples before selecting — you cannot change the voice after generating without restarting generation.
Pace Three radio button options:
- Slower (0.75× speed) — for clients who need more processing time or prefer a more spacious delivery
- Normal (1.0× speed) — default, appropriate for most sessions
- Faster (1.25× speed) — for shorter sessions or clients who prefer a brisker pace
Background music (if enabled on your plan) Choose from four categories: Nature, Ambient, Piano, or Drone. Volume is set automatically but can be adjusted with the volume slider.
Binaural beats (if enabled on your plan) Choose from four presets: alpha, theta, delta, or beta wave. A note in the panel reminds you that binaural beats require stereo headphones to be effective. The exported MP3 will include metadata indicating headphone use is recommended.
3. Generating the audio
Click Generate Audio. Generation typically takes 2–5 minutes for a standard 30-minute session, depending on voice and server load. A progress indicator shows the current chunk being processed.
You can navigate away from the script while generation runs — it continues in the background. When complete, the audio player appears in the panel.
4. Downloading the recording
Once generation is complete, the audio player shows in the panel with:
- Play/pause controls
- A time display and progress bar
- A Download button that saves the file as
session-audio.mp3
Rename the file before sharing with clients to avoid confusion (e.g., client-a-relaxation-session-march-2026.mp3).
5. Premium Voice Sessions (Studio plan)
Studio plan includes 5 Premium Voice Sessions per month, equivalent to 150 minutes of premium voice audio. Premium Voice usage is tracked in Settings → Billing → Usage.
If you need additional capacity, Premium Voice Bolt-Ons are available for purchase on both Pro and Studio plans. See Premium Voice Bolt-Ons for details.
6. Licensing
Each downloaded recording carries a licence badge in the player:
- Personal Use — the recording can be shared with the named client for their personal use only (standard on Pro and Studio)
- Commercial Licensed — the recording has an active commercial licence (purchased separately via the platform)
See Premium Voice Bolt-Ons for commercial licensing details.
