Is TheraScripts for Coaches?

Category: For Coaches Reading time: ~3 min

Overview

You do not need to be a clinical practitioner to use TheraScripts. The platform is built for any professional who creates guided session content for clients — and that includes coaches across a wide range of disciplines.

What coaches use TheraScripts for

The most common use cases among coach users:

  • Guided visualisations for goal-setting, future-self work, and confidence building
  • Relaxation and grounding exercises to send clients between sessions as MP3 recordings
  • NLP patterns including anchoring exercises, submodality work, and timeline processes
  • CBT-integrated scripts for cognitive reframing and behavioural rehearsal
  • Mindfulness exercises personalised to the client's current focus area
  • Motivational sessions aligned to a client's stated goals and preferred communication style

None of these require a clinical background to create or use appropriately.

What changes for coaches vs. practitioners

The same script builder and audio generation tools are available regardless of your background. The key differences are:

  1. Safety audit language — The audit uses clinical terminology in some places. Coaches should still review audit findings carefully; if you are unsure what a flag means, the flag description includes guidance on how to proceed.

  2. Module library scope — Some modules in the library are flagged as requiring clinical background or supervision for appropriate use. These are clearly labelled and will not be recommended by the system for sessions where no clinical background has been indicated.

  3. Your scope of practice — TheraScripts assists with content creation; it does not determine what is appropriate for your scope of practice. If you are unsure whether a particular type of session falls within your competency, seek supervision or peer advice — the platform cannot make that determination for you.
